STEAM events take place on Rockhurst University campus and elementary schools in the area. Students and faculty from physical therapy, occupational therapy, physics, math, biology, and education departments from Rockhurst University help to run the STEAM events. There are many opportunities for learning that include flubber, quicksand, rocket explosions , wacky science, and much more. This is a great opportunity for Rockhurst students to work with children and educate them in a fun and interactive way. The March event includes a C.H.A.S.E. SENSORIUM. The sensorium allows children, parents, and caregivers to experience what it feels like to have sensory challenges that affect many people in the community. This is a great opportunity to educate children and advocate for those in the community with Autism and other sensory challenges.
